--Watched the greatest quarter of Reggie Jackson’s life
against Portland. He was unstoppable. 26 points in the 4th quarter
alone. He should send a thank you letter
to Damion Lillard and CJ McCollum though.
He was definitely hot and hit some great shots but there were also
plenty of red carpet like lanes to the hoop.
--What if the Morris
twins switched places and it’s actually Markief in Detroit and Marcus is still
in Phoenix. That could be an alternate
explanation why Detroit Morris is suddenly a better player than Phoenix Morris!
(Maybe Phoenix Morris isn’t tanking!)
--New Yorkers are starting to be happy with the Porzingis
pick. He’s super long and is very
skilled and has more fire than people gave him credit for, but if the Knicks
had picked Mudiay he’d be well on his way to owning NYC. They love their point guards here and Mudiay
has a super NYC style game. He can
really pass and his shot looks way better than I thought it would given the
scouting reports I’d read. He’s big and
strong and will be a really good defender down the line. Of course he turns the ball over a lot and
makes mistakes but it usually takes point guards a long time to learn the NBA game. He's already way ahead of the curve. I like
Porzingis a lot but I’m a little worried the Knicks are going to regret not
picking Mudiay. Certainly from a box
office ticket selling stand point. Point
guards have always ruled New York.
--Kawhi is so freaking good.
He really makes everything look so easy.
--Cauley-Stein looks pretty good and he and Cousins are
going to work well together but why oh why didn’t the Kings take Mudiay. They could have built a future around Mudiay
and Cousins
--Lastly for now, what the hell is up with Matt Barnes? Is he completely out of his mind? Did he actually say "We're 2 grown men who should have handled 2 grown men's business,
but he wanted to run and tell the cops & NBA”? Good lord can’t you just keep your mouth
shut? Grow up already. Also, is Derek Fisher pretty much a complete
joke at this point? The Knicks really need
to find someone else to be their head coach.
